Esthetic/Spa Therapy Instructor
Lorie
has been a licenced Esthetician for over 20 years now and the
very successful owner of the Academy of Excellence for 14 years.
Lorie graduated from Blanche McDonald
(Vancouver) in 1983. Her passion and dedication to being
at the forefront of the industry's latest trends has her
continually updating her education and skills. Her
professional portfolio includes Dawn Craig's Professional Makeup
Artistry (United Kingdom), Jacques Lee Pelletier Make Up
(Montreal), Advanced Spa Therapies, Aromatherapy, Avance Academy
of Wellness (New York), Cosmetology School of Canada (massage),
Danielle Silverman (massage), and Vodder Method Lymphatic
Drainage, just to highlight a few.
Lorie's launching of the Academy of Excellence Advanced
Training Centre (AEATC) serves as another example of Lorie's
commitment to the education and professional growth of
practicing cosmetology professionals on Vancouver Island.
As well, Lorie is actively pursuing her diploma in Adult
Education.

Danielle St. Jacques Rand - Registrar
Danielle has been working in the Beauty industry since 1998. Her years of previous experience working with people and providing service exceeding expectation has prepared her for her continued success as the Registrar at the Academy.
She is well versed in the needs of both our clients and our students. Her experience ranges from being on the opening team of a world destination spa to leading classrooms on 'Customer Service and Communications.'

Danielle
Tina Kelly - Registrar
Tina has been involved in private career training since
1992. She has a solid background in admissions, management and
program facilitation.
Prior to joining the team as Registrar, Tina was a long-term
client of the Academy of Excellence and is dedicated to continuing
the tradition of "excellence" that students, clients and
staff associate with the Academy.

am a strong believer in education as a catalyst for change and
opportunity. I am inspired daily by the enthusiasm and
commitment of the students to their education and their future
professions. The dedication of our staff and the Academy's
curriculum provide and facilitate the growth of creativity and
confidence. This is very exciting and benefits each
person's health and well being and the entire cosmetology
industry."
Tina
 Emily Da Silva - Front Desk Administrator
Emily has been working in the Service and Tourism industry since
1999 and has been with the Academy since 2003.
Her previous experience working with people and providing
exceptional customer service continues in her position as the
Academy's Front Desk Administrator.
She is well versed in the needs of both clients and
students. Emily is responsible for booking the Academy's clients,
i.e. for the students practical portion of the course.
"My commitment to the Academy is to deliver a high
quality of service, to ensure all students, clients and staff's
needs are taken care of. My belief is that the students
should be working in an upbeat, fun and focused
environment. I do my best to contribute to that philosophy
daily."
Emily
Angela Procyk - Esthetic/Spa Therapy Instructor
 Angela is a graduate from Blanche McDonald in Vancouver and has been a licensed esthetician since 2000. Upon graduation, she worked at the prestigious spa Utopia in Vancouver as an esthetician and trainer.
Angela also has experience working in medical esthetics at the Rosenthal Clinic in Victoria.
She is certified in Cutera Laser Therapy Treatment and has extensive product knowledge
of Vivier Cosmecuticals, Dermed and Proderm.
Angela is currently pursuing her BC Provinical Instructor Diploma.
Angela's enthusiastic and caring personality helps to create a supportive
environment that encourages her students to recognize their own potential.

Oressa Meheriuk - Esthetic/Spa Therapy Instructor
A highly qualified esthetician, Oressa has worked in two nationally
recognized salons, Urban Venus and Sundrops Studios in Calgary, Alberta. She has
provided esthetic services at the Juno and Much Music Video Awards.
Oressa's attendence at and active participation in a variety
of esthetic educational classes and seminars serve as a testament of her commitment
and passion for the industry. Her focus and expertise is with ionithermie facials
and body treatments.
Oressa's professional, yet fun and patient manner, provide an
enjoyable environment for students to learn, thrive and strive towards
their professional career goals.

Greg Abbott - Hair Design Education Manager & Instructor
Greg is a fully qualified Hair Stylist and Esthetician with over 10 years experience as an educator.
He graduated here at the Academy in 1979
studying additionally at the London School of Hair & Esthethics.
His vast experience and natural patience lends to his being a highly qualified
and sought after instructor whom we are proud to have on our team here at
the Academy. Greg has working knowledge of numerous product lines and cutting
and colouring curriculums including Sassoon, Rusk, Sorbie, Loreal and Aveda. Greg's
enthusiastic personality helps creates a supportive environment that encourages his students to
recognize their own potential and creates a rich
learning environment, he is quick to support teamwork, cooperation
and the fun of learning.
"I believe that learning works best when it comes from self interest
and motivation; from a personal level of curiosity. I am comitted to
facilitating the students' learning to support the highest development of their skills
and talents to best prepare them to enter the world of cosmetology. I
keep an eye on the latest up and coming industry trends in fashion, makeup and hair styles to integrate them into the curriculum wherever
possible, as I am committed to each student becoming a leader in their field."

Manon Courville - Hair Design Instructor
Manon brings over twenty years experience as a qualified Hair Sylist
working in Quebec and Alberta. She has also worked with a variety of product
lines, which include L'Oreal, Swartzkopf, Goldwell, Matrix and AG.
Manon's educational focus is remaining on top of and sharing current
industry trends with the students on the latest techniques in
haircutting, coloring and chemical texturizing. Manon's teaching style respects and encourages each student's skill development
and creativity.
